This is a graphic created entirely in Photoshop for the water treatment company Culligan. The letters were created in Illustrator using its 3D capabilities. It was then brought into Photoshop where each letter got its own group.
The “W” and the “A” were created using a stock photography image of a sheet of painted metal that was pealing. Each letter has approximately 20 layers to create the rusted effect.
The “T” was created in Photoshop using nothing more than color, shape layers and layer styles. Each scale is its own layer with its own unique layer attributes.
The “E” and the “R” were created using, again, colors, layers, layer masks and layer styles. The spots on top were created with approximately 10 different brushes and different layer masks.
