In 2014 I was scrolling through Reddit.com and saw a random post in their Halloween subreddit for someone who was looking for help in making posters for their Haunted House in Kentucky. They had no budget, but wanted to see if anyone was interested in helping. All they gave me was the name and said I had free reign. I started with coming up with a suitable logo and rolled out a look and feel into a flyer they handed out around town. I also helped them out with some Facebook profile and timeline images.
Unfortunately, they ran out of funds, but I had also suggested, teaming up with a local hardware store to promote their haunt. I designed tags that would be attached to items that you would traditionally find in a horror movie, machetes, sledge hammers, saws, etc. Then, if the consumer bought the item with the tag, they would get a bag from the hardware store that had a coupon stamped on it that would get them 25% off admission to the haunt.
